OPPO F21 Pro Teaser Reveals A New Type Of Leather For Phones

Manufacturers always try to make their smartphones look and feel more luxurious without increasing too much price. Some companies are satisfied by only offering atypical color options such as gold or even race like red. Others have played with various types of materials, including difficult ceramics but premiums.

Using imitation leather has not yet become a new thing because Samsung offers material on the released Galaxy Note 3 models, but has not been trapped in a big way because of some accompanying sacrifices. It hasn’t stopped some manufacturers offering skin on their mobile variants, but the results are very diverse. Riding the success of his X5 Pro, Oppo once again tried his hand to put a new round on the old material, which hopefully will handle false skin shortages.

Genuine leather is almost always associated with luxury and fashion, but in addition to the sources that are sometimes controversial, getting the right material is easier to say than done. This type of skin is also not durable, but the true sign, high quality material is that it is graceful. In fact, many people appreciate how the skin fades and develops a unique patina for how the product is used, which can vary from people to people.

The characteristics are not always present in the fauher, and material durability is always the biggest problem. Synthetic versions often break faster, plus stains and easily dirty. That’s why many consumers tend to avoid the phones with imitation leather: ingredients often become very unattractive after novelty runs out. Placing the case on it will help preserve the material, but it defeats the purpose of using the skin in the first place, even if it’s fake.

Those problems do not discourage OPPO from trying to find a better way to do the skin, especially after the ceramic process for Oppo Find X5 Pro really enjoys success and attention. The company is now teasing the creation of what he called “Fiberglass Leather,” something that will be available exclusively for the Sunset Orange variant of the upcoming Oppo F21 Pro, which can be the most popular model.

Details about this new type of imitation skin are not surprising, but OPPO mentions several key properties that sound interesting. The fiberglass variant will, the company claims, offers better temperature resistance, waterproof, and wear resistance when compared to standard colleagues, all of which are needed to fix it with genuine leather. Of course, the new Oppo material will still be soft to touch, but the “fiberglass” section remains a mystery for now.

The Oppo F21 Pro specification is equally unknown, even though the company has shared several teasers about hardware, too. At the top of the list is the SONY IMX709 specifically made and what the company claimed was the first microlens camera for this mid-range segment. Oppo F21 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset, is scheduled to debut on April 12.
